In 1912, George Marvin established the Marvin Lumber & Cedar Company in Warroad, Minnesota, a small town near the Canadian border. In 1939, George’s son Bill joined as the company’s eighth employee. After World War II, Bill saw an opportunity to create jobs for returning veterans by manufacturing windows and doors. His vision transformed a lumber company into one of the industry’s leading window and door manufacturers.
Today, Marvin is led by the fourth generation of the Marvin family. Despite fires, recessions, and countless setbacks, Marvin has maintained its commitment to Warroad for over 110 years — while expanding to facilities across the United States. Every product is still made to order, built with the same values of craftsmanship and integrity that George established over a century ago.
